Apparently, Tom Hardy Offered To Pay $317k Out Of His Own Pocket To Cover The Crew’s Unpaid Wages On His Latest Project

Tom Hardy apparently offered to pay out £250,000 (around $317k) of his own money when he learned that 50 crew members from his latest project faced not getting paid for their work.

The project is Guy Ritchie’s upcoming TV series — which has the working title Fixer and will see Tom star alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.

According to The Times, Fixer’s production companies, 101 Studios and MTV Studios, paid Helix 3D to contract builders who completed their work on the set over the summer.

But Helix 3D now looks set to enter liquidation, and the workers still hadn’t been paid months later.

They were recently left “distraught” when they received a “devastating” WhatsApp message from the company’s chief executive, Brian Dowling, which said they were unlikely to be paid for their work this side of Christmas.

Times report that when he heard about what was going on, Tom offered to pay the wages for all 50 builders himself, but studio bosses intervened.

“He offered to [pay],” a source told the publication. “But the production and Paramount have sorted the payment.”

An insider at Paramount added that the company had been left “outraged” by the situation and acted quickly to ensure the workers were paid as soon as possible.

Guy Richie’s Fixer is set to premiere in 2025, with Tom playing the role of a “fixer” called Harry who helps to resolve conflicts between warring gangs.
